Sharing our name with the entrepôt of French champagne, Épernay has set out to create a modern, relaxed dining experience inspired by British and European homemade cuisine.

Providing delicious food and personal service to our diners, Épernay focuses on continental dining, emphasising depth of flavour and culinary presentation.

Taking his cue from French and European cuisine, our Chef and his team have borrowed from other countries and cultures to craft a menu that showcases the best of Manx ingredients, offering both a small and large plate dining experience.

Épernay is fully licensed with a curated reserve wine list to match our menu. We are a small, locally-owned business, and we look forward to greeting you personally on your next visit to North Quay.

ALEX O’CONNOR

Sous Chef


A local Manxman from Peel, Alex is Épernay’s sous chef. With only a few years’ experience under his belt, he has a keen eye for plating and a creative flare. Alex is looking forward to expanding his culinary knowledge at Épernay by working alongside his team. 

He enjoys experimenting with European and Asian-style dishes and takes his inspirations from chefs such as René Redzepi, Massimo Bottura, and David Chang.

BARRY BAKER

Restaurant Assistant


Restaurant assistant Barry is originally from Liverpool, and he has been a vital member of the family since we opened our doors.

Barry is looking forward to helping both the kitchen and front of house teams and expanding his knowledge as a restaurateur at Épernay.

RACHEL HARDIE

General Manager


Rachel is a proud Manxie and returned to the Island after completing a three-year university course. Having recently started a family of her own, Rachel has been with the team since the beginning and has taken on the role of general manager at Épernay. 

She is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and is incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wines we offer.

Nathan

Waiter


Nathan is new to the Épernay service team however he is no stranger to the restaurant as him and his family have been long supporters of Épernay. Having recently finished school Nathan is looking to learn more about the hospitality sector under the guidance of the rest of the experienced Service Team.

EVENTS


Épernay enjoys a prominent location on Douglas’ North Quay and offers a space that can be tailored for all types of events, both private and corporate. Conceived with French and European styles in mind, the restaurant boasts the casual sophistication of a quay-front location.

The restaurant can be hired exclusively to accommodate up to 30 people for dinners, parties, and launches, and our chef can create a set menu for private dining clients, carefully pairing his creations with Épernay’s hand-selected wine list.

We can offer birthday and celebration cakes upon request. The cake can serve 8-10 people and is charged at £35. We require two days’ notice prior to your booking to allow time for making and decorating the cake. Unfortunately, we do not allow guests to provide their own food due to safety restrictions.

Our Christmas menu is now available and so are bookings so please reach out to us if you would like to celebrate the festive season at Épernay.
